FIJI Green (www.fijigreen.com) is FIJI Water’s (www.fijiwater.com) way of communicating their “promise and progress” towards green business practices and awareness. Under the FIJI Green Brand, FIJI Water upholds their promise to promote a carbon negative product, saving the Fiji rainforest, reducing their packaging and helping with recycling initiatives.

Along with FIJI, Myjive encourages community progress for an eco-friendly world. To aid FIJI Green in this mission, we sought out ideas that would be influential on a viral level. Working with the designers at Me&Marsh, Myjive adapted the intenseĀ Carbon Calculator from Conservation International to create a FIJI Green branded Carbon Calculator widget. The widget gathers information about your household, driving and travel habits and other individual choices that have an effect on the environment. This data is then used to calculate your carbon footprint and suggest a donation amount to offset that footprint. How big is your footprint?

About FIJI Green
Partnering with Conservation International, Fiji Water now produces the first ‘carbon negative’ product in their industry, actually saving the rain forest one bottle of water at a time. Carbon negative products serve to reduce the effects of climate changes, and no other major beverage brand has invested in this type of commitment to the environment. FIJI also accounts for its greenhouse gas emissions for the entire life-cycle of its products, not just company produced effects. Buy FIJI Water – Recycle or reuse the bottle! This is a huge step in the right direction for FIJI, as many Americans drink their bottled water on a daily basis.

Doing their part to offset ‘business usual’ harm to the environment is also winning recognition and influencing similar practices in other large corporations. Initiatives include planting trees in areas with no vegetation, allowing the new trees to absorb carbon dioxide in the area that would otherwise absorb into our atmosphere. Another example is building wind farms in place of fossil fueled energy sources. Additional green-oriented projects and plans are brewing in the FIJI labs, bringing us many future fresh breaths of air. FIJI Water, you deserve a standing ovation!
