IC Media Arctic Expedition
Myjive launches the inaugural web presence for IC Media Productions (www.icmediapro.com). The site is driven by a fun and creative narrative portraying owners Kitzman and Copland lost in the subzero dread of an Arctic landscape. With a hybrid Flash and XHTML solution backed by a custom CMS, IC Media has everything they need to make a continual impact to online visitors.
Based out of Orlando, Florida, this film and media production studio is nothing but “cool.” Our story begins with Executive Producers John Copeland and Steve Kitzman becoming castaways in one of the most hostile environments on earth. To tell this tale, Myjive designs and animated a unique interactive 3D landscape.
The experience centers around a fictional expedition to the Arctic wasteland. Born almost a century ago, this narrative set a foundation for IC Media’s now recognizable brand. “We want the experience to be fun, and we as a company want to portray a fresh and creative image to not only our clients, but those in our industry,” said Steve Kitzman, producer at IC Media. “When we saw the first mock-up, we knew before seeing anything else that this was gonna be a great ride.” This unimaginable saga of survival ensured it was this, the failed Endurance expedition, that Kitzman and Copeland would ultimately be most remembered.
Production for IC Media included a hybrid Flash presence with full dynamic integration of a secure Content Management System (CMS). This combination provided rich graphic, animation, and media assets with an online CMS platform that gave IC Media employees the ability to easily update content such as news, events, client features, and expedition narratives. The Content Management System was also seamlessly integrated into an IC Media Blog, providing a central panel to easily manage all elements of the IC Media web presence.
With a strong front-end presence available to the world, Myjive went a step further with a powerful internal project management platform. This web-based platform (virtual intranet) provides cross-project management tools allowing IC Media to quickly organize projects and communicate task, procedures, approvals, reviews, and progress with all of their clients. Just some of the robust features include; file upload, file management, user profiles, comments and message system with spam control, automatic email notifications, tasks and a calendar.
