Position Description:

We are looking for a Web Developer to assist us in diverse projects across the next four to six months, with possible contract extensions. Candidates should have the ability to take direction well; have excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills; and have the ability to produce great work in short timeframes and manage time efficiently while multi-tasking across different projects and clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience developing applications and websites using PHP and MySQL
  • High-level knowledge of AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, HTML and XML
  • Intimately familiar with Object Oriented Programming, relational databases and design patterns
  • Experience developing in Flash utilizing AS3
  • Strong code debugging and optimization abilities
  • SQL database design, administration, and optimization skills
  • Able to translate designs from Photoshop to the Web
  • Up to date with latest technologies and innovative solutions to problems
  • Clear verbal communication skills and pixel-perfect attention to detail

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with XCode, Interface Builder
  • Experience with iPhone SDK: GPS / Location, Push, XML / RSS, Touch & Views
  • Experience with C or C++
  • Knowledge of mobile browsers and applications
  • Experience using JavaScript Frameworks ( JQuery, Scriptaculous, Prototype)
  • Ability to utilize 3rd party APIs
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent
  • 1-3+ years of professional experience designing and developing web-based applications with rich user interfaces
  • Ability to lead tasks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Willingness to define and document best practices and contribute to knowledge sharing efforts
