Riverwired Battle for the Coral Reef
Myjive goes Green, one pixel at a time. Battle for the Coral Reef is a new Flash game developed for Riverwired (www.riverwired.com), an online community focused on bringing the how-to’s of an eco-friendly lifestyle to the masses.
The award-winning Battle for the Coral Reef Flash game is modeled after the classic asteroids space battle, except here, we take gamers a few leagues under the sea. Supplemented with portable versions for MySpace (widget) and Facebook (application), Myjive created the ultimate viral gaming solution that not only exceeded Riverwired’s expectations, but is something online players have been talking about.
We are proud to announce that Riverwired’s Battle for the Coral Reef received a Gold Regional Addy, and a Silver District Addy. The Addys do a great job of validating our overall commitment to creating quality work, as well as the skill and talent that goes into each project. Even though all the satisfaction we need comes from making (and playing) games that audiences are stoked about, to be recognized by our respected peers is tasty icing on the cake.
With particle based explosions and smooth gameplay, it’s hard not to be engaged – even after playing it repeatedly. Because we wanted to design a game that scaled down well for social community sites, the game had to be accessible and run smoothly on even the lowest processor standards. With a built-in quality and background toggle, gamers with older computers can still experience the Battle in full swing. At the same time, gamers with newer computers can enjoy rich-texture backgrounds and multi-layered visual effects.
